We depart early morning for Dover where we board the ferry to Calais. Relax and enjoy the scenic Channel crossing before we make the short drive to the Auchan Hypermarket, one of the Towns premier shopping destinations.
Auchan is a popular choice for Calais day trippers and visitors to France. This vast hypermarket should cater for most of your shopping needs, and offers a vast selection of alcohol, food, and home/leisure products. The Auchan complex also consists of a number of other retail outlets . Adjacent to the Auchan building you will also find a Sainsbury’s Wine and Beer outlet which offers similar products, slightly less expensive as you may expect
Instead, you may wish to visit Cite Europe.
At Cité Europe, you’ll find everything from high-street favourites and designer boutiques to charming French cafés, restaurants, and the famous Carrefour hypermarket perfect for stocking up on wine, cheese, chocolates, and continental bargains.
There’s plenty of time to shop and explore before we return to the ferry terminal for a relaxing late-afternoon/ early-evening sailing back to the UK.

Passports are required for everyone travelling – A valid passport is required for travel to France. It must have been issued within the last 10 years before your date of arrival in France with an expiry date at least 6 months after our date of departure from France. Your passport must contain at least one blank page for visa stamps. If you are unsure, please check with our Travel Hotline before booking. Please ensure that you bring your passports with you on your day of departure.
