Cromer is a classic seaside town on the North Norfolk coast, known for its Victorian charm, sandy beaches, and world-famous Cromer crab.
Unmissable on the skyline is the 160ft tower of the 14th century church of St Peter & Paul with it's vast stained glass windows commemorating Cromer's lifeboat crew, the most decorated in RNLI history. Home to a diverse range of people from lifeboat men to writers, there are nine blue plaques commemorating some of the significant figures associated with the town as well as a museum named after Henry Blogg, who served for 53 years on Cromer's lifeboats. With his crew, Blogg saved over 873 lives.
Back in the 19th century, the town was developed into a seaside resort by the late Victorians. Today, the streets and alleys are bustling with shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the famous Cromer crab!
Cromer crab is one of Norfolks most iconic delicacies sweet, tender, and shaped by the unique chalk reef just off the Cromer coast. The nutrientrich shallow waters help produce crab meat thats famously flavoursome and naturally low in fat while being high in protein and Omega3.
