Purpose built in 1846 by local landowner Henry Styleman Le Strange, Sunny Hunny is the ideal location for a day out to the seaside with all the trimmings.
Famous for its striped cliffs, acres of sand and clear, shallow water, Hunstanton also offers lots of fun attractions for all ages (and weather conditions).
You will see various colourful and traditional seaside attractions for all the family at Hunstanton, including beach front amusements, fun fair, bowling alley, bandstand concerts on the green, and much more. The town centre and seafront are both easily accessible to disabled visitors, and a specially designed Sensory Garden with opportunities to touch, hear and smell the plants and sculptures.
Look out for the colourful Tractor Train which carries visitors the length of the seafront, a favourite with young and old alike. Take a trip with Searles Sea Tours to see the seals on the unique Wash Monster, a World War II amphibian craft, leaving from the South Promenade which will take you out to sea, or spend some time at Rainbow Park funfair.
Along the promenade is the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary where divers eye viewing tanks, a touch pool and an underwater tunnel bring visitors face to face with an amazing collection of sea creatures, and there are regular talks and feeding displays at the seal hospital.
Nearby, in Old Hunstanton, is a cherished mix of hotels, pubs and an excellent arts and craft centre.

Hunstanton has two distinct beach areas:
Main (North) Beach classic seaside feel, amusements, Sea Life Sanctuary, mini train, arcades and family activities. Great for paddling and sandcastles.
Old Hunstanton Beach quieter, wide sands, dunes and the famous striped cliffs. Ideal for walks, photography and fossil hunting.
The geological layers around Old Hunstanton make it a popular fossil hunting spot. Always check tide times and stay aware of changing conditions.
Hunstantons parks and gardens are surprisingly lovely, especially in spring and summer. The Horticultural Trail is a gentle 1.5 mile route starting at the Town Hall.
Hunstanton is known for its proper seaside ice cream. The huts near the green and along the promenade are consistently well rated especially on warm days.
The green above the cliffs is one of the best picnic spots in Norfolk breezy, scenic and perfect for coach travellers who want space to relax.
